Founder of Sydboende and the business concept.
The company was founded after Johan purchased a holiday home by the Mediterranean.
His analysis of the buying process was that the purchase itself was simple and smooth—but there was a lot to take care of afterwards before the holiday life could truly begin.
Johan explains:
– We had no local support, and the first three to four trips after the purchase were spent solving a number of practical issues, as well as clearing up various misunderstandings—mainly due to language barriers etc.
There wasn’t much of a holiday, but unfortunately quite a few sleepless nights.
It also ended up being more expensive than we had anticipated, as several unexpected fees popped up here and there.
That’s when I identified a clear customer need.
